Tube Inspection Methods for Boilers, Heat Exchangers, Chillers
INTERNAL ROTARY INSPECTION SYSTEM (IRIS) is an ultrasonic method using a rotating beam to scan the tube wall from the inside out. IRIS can produce easy-to-read thickness maps of the remaining wall thickness as if the tube were cut lengthwise and split open. This technology requires that the tubes be cleaned to near-new condition to ensure a good signal.
